On March 5, 2013, the Chinese Academy of Cultural Heritage, in cooperation with École Française d'Extrême-Orient (EFEO), holds the International Symposium on the Conservation of Angkor Archaeological Monuments. Scholars from CACH and EFEO presented at the symposium from perspectives of architecture, archaeology, and cultural restoration. CACH’s President Liu Shuguang and Vice President of EFEO Dr. Pascal Royere delivered short speeches at the opening ceremony.

In addition to the symposium, a photo exhibition on EFEO’s works in Angkor will be held at CACH from March 5 to April 5. The 77 photos displayed at the hall of the Academy were taken decades to hundreds of years ago, explicitly highlighting the contributions that EFEO has made over the last century.
